In this desert there is a space research station (Observatory) of NASA that studying the mars.It’s said that land in the Atacama desert is the same as the land on the planet mars. So don’t be surprised some film about that red planet take place on this desert location. In this desert, researchers also discovered a new species of lizard found only in this desert.
